Geography

Geography at Lawley Village Academy gives the children chance to develop an understanding of the world and their immediate locality. Teaching allows the children to develop fieldwork skills, locational and place knowledge, map reading skills and an understanding of physical geography. The curriculum ensures coverage of the national curriculum and as the children move through school, skills and knowledge are developed. Children develop an understanding of physical and human features in their immediate locality and then further afield. They begin to identify what is in a locality and the impact that has on who lives there and what happens there.
